Android Users Enjoy Seamless Audio Streaming with ReSound Hearing Aids

by | Jul 15, 2024 | Technology

ReSound has consistently been at the forefront of innovation, enhancing the lives of our patients with advanced hearing solutions.

Since the groundbreaking update in 2020 that first allowed Android users to stream audio directly to ReSound hearing aids, significant improvements have continued to evolve, making these features even more robust and user friendly.

Continued Advancements in Audio Streaming

Since the initial release of the ReSound Smart 3D app update, ReSound has made several updates to enhance the streaming experience for Android users. Now, Android users can enjoy even more seamless connectivity and additional features that further improve daily life for those using ReSound Nexia and other compatible models.

What’s New?

The ReSound Smart 3D app supports a wider range of devices than before, and the streaming functionality has been optimized for better performance and lower battery consumption. The app now offers enhanced sound quality, faster connectivity, and improved user interfaces, making it easier than ever to manage your hearing aids directly from your Android device.

Expanded Compatibility

The latest updates have expanded compatibility to include newer Android models and operating systems. Devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S21, S22, and Google Pixel 6 now fully support these advanced streaming capabilities. Users with Android 11 and newer can expect seamless integration with their ReSound hearing aids.

Improved Battery Efficiency

Thanks to continuous advancements in Bluetooth technology and the implementation of the ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) low energy protocol, users can now enjoy extended battery life even while streaming audio. This means you can use your hearing aids for streaming calls and music without worrying about frequent battery replacements.

Enhanced Features and User Experience

The ReSound Smart 3D app now includes additional features that were not available in the initial 2020 update:

Customizable Sound Profiles:

Users can create and save multiple sound profiles tailored to different environments, enhancing their listening experience.

Automatic Updates:

The app can now automatically update itself and your hearing aids, ensuring you always have the latest features and improvements.

Integrated Health Tracking:

Some ReSound models now offer health tracking capabilities, such as step counting and activity tracking, directly through the app.

How to Check Compatibility and Pair Your Device

For many users, their devices will automatically pair if compatible. Here’s what you can expect:
