There is no doubt ReSound has had a huge impact on the lives of our patients, and now they have even more to offer.

Resound has updated the Android version of their Resound Smart 3D app, allowing LiNX Quattro users with compatible devices to use some amazing streaming functions! All you have to do is update to the newest version of the app from the Google Play store.

Maybe beforehand, you could stream basic functions such as volume control and program changing. But you can now Bluetooth phone calls and music directly to your hearing aids, no additional accessory required! While these functions have been available to Apple users, this is a game-changer for those of us using devices with Android 10.

Our patients have sworn this has made their lives significantly more comfortable. If you’re using ReSound LiNX Quattro hearing aids, you are among the first Android users getting access to this new feature. And if you’re not? Make the upgrade now! You will be able to use this with devices such as Samsung Galaxy 9’s and 10’s as well as the line of Google Pixel 3 Smartphones.

If you’ve been experiencing challenges making and receiving phone calls, or enjoying your music the way you used to, this technology is going to provide you with great satisfaction. If you aren’t already using ReSound LiNX Quattro hearing aids, you need to consider making the upgrade today. This isn’t a luxury that’s too far out of reach! You deserve to have this technology available for use in your daily life.

Thanks to the impressive new ASHA low energy Bluetooth, designed specifically for audio transmissions to lower battery consumption, you won’t have to worry about your battery being drained. So if your battery life was a concern, you could put that behind you.

How to Check if Your Android Device Can Connect to Your ReSound LiNX Quattro Hearing Aids

For some, your devices will automatically be paired if they are compatible. This is great! You are ready to enjoy access to your new features.

Here’s what you’ll see:

However, if your screen is displaying red warning icons on your “Status,”  “My ReSound,” and “Direct Audio Streaming,” this is letting you know your android device is not paired correctly.

If this occurs, you simply need to click the “Direct Audio Streaming” and follow the instructions provided to pair your devices properly.

Unfortunately, if warning icons occur on “Direct Audio Streaming” and “MyReSound” without also showing a warning icon on your “Status,” this means your hearing aids are not compatible.

If you aren’t sure whether or not your Android is up to date, you can contact your carrier to find out if it’s necessary to upgrade your phone to a newer model. While older models will not have this technology, all new devices will launch with Android 10.

If you’re still having difficulty pairing your devices without assistance, or you’re thinking about upgrading to the LiNX Quattro, don’t hesitate to contact us at Clarity Hearing Services. Our patients are important to us, and we want to ensure you are getting the most out of their hearing aids, so you can enjoy all that life has to offer.
