ReSound Hearing Aids

ReSound Hearing Aids

ReSound hearing aids have put their focus on helping people rediscover their hearing in order to live rich, active, and fulfilling lives since 1943. Having advanced to the point of providing hearing aids for individuals with hearing loss in 80 countries worldwide, ReSound is one of today’s largest hearing aid providers.

ReSound is part of the GN Group, a global leader in intelligent audio solutions, playing a key role in the research and development of medical, professional, and consumer audio solutions in cooperation with other GN Group companies, leading to the fabrication and distribution of med-tech, hearables, and intelligent audio products.

The capacity to adjust sound input intensities for a more comfortable hearing experience was a major innovative step by ReSound through the development of WDRC (Wide Dynamic Range Compression). The company’s DFS (Digital Feedback Suppression) system was instrumental in resolving issues involving howling (feedback) and distortion.

ReSound produced the first open-standard digital chip in 1992, which allowed for programming flexibility. The ReSound AIR open-fit design in 2003 made it possible to limit the discomfort of a plugged ear canal and the capacity for hearing aids to provide a more natural sound.

ReSound’s Device Features And Performance

ReSound produced the first connectivity options for hearing aids, using 2.4 GHz technology to link with iPhone and Android devices. Its Bluetooth streaming compatibility allows you to integrate digital devices with your hearing aids for enhanced sound quality and clarity.

Thanks to the development of micro-digital technology, ReSound hearing aids are smaller, lighter, and allow for greater wearing discretion, while their digital capability improves sound quality and clarity as well as higher-level performance.

ReSound’s Remote Assist

Remote Assist, provided by ReSound, allows a hearing instrument specialist to receive programming adjustment requests from patients and then send the new settings to be uploaded and applied to the device using the hearing aid’s connectivity feature.
